Sealed Roads
There are approximately 300 km of sealed roads which link the main townships on Kangaroo Island. The balance of the roads can vary in condition, depending on corrugation and wet weather. It is highly recommended that speeds should not exceed 60 km per hour.
Animal Danger
Driving between sunset and sunrise is not recommended in view of the wildlife which is abundant in many places across the Island.
Plan well in advance
During the months from October to May, which is Kangaroo Island's busy season, you will need to book well in advance to ensure you have full choice of bookings.
